What to Expect on Sundays
Here's what a typical Sunday morning looks like in 5 steps.
Arrival & Parking
We are right around the corner in Eagle Rock CA. When you arrive, you’ll find a parking lot on Merton Street with Orchard signage to help guide you. Our team will be ready to welcome you and answer any questions as you come in. Feel free to arrive a few minutes early to get settled, grab a bulletin, or simply take a breath. There’s no dress code—come as you are. We want your arrival to feel calm, clear, and hospitable.
Worship & Kids
Our service includes Scripture reading, prayer, singing, and a sermon that connects the Bible to everyday life. The music is thoughtful and reverent, centered on proclaiming the gospel. During the service, we offer a livestream viewing room for children ages 0–2, as well as a nursery for children ages 2–5 that is staffed by trained volunteers. Families are also welcome to keep their children with them in the service if that feels best. Materials to help children participate in the worship service can be picked up from the Orchard Kids Resource Table.
After the Service & Next Steps
After the service, we gather in our fellowship hall for curated coffee selections and delicious bites to eat. On every Second Sunday, a meal is provided (more details below). Many people stick around to talk, meet someone new, or enjoy a simple time of connection. You’re invited—but never pressured—to visit our welcome table to learn more about Orchard Church, ask questions, or hear about Community Groups and upcoming events. If you’re interested, we can also help you take next steps toward deeper involvement.
Second Sunday
If you find yourself at Orchard on a Second Sunday—the second Sunday of each month—you’ll notice a different kind of worship gathering. Instead of meeting in the main worship hall, we gather in the fellowship hall and share a service shaped around a meal. We hope this format accentuates our time of worship and deepens our life together, followed by a delicious meal. It’s a simple, welcoming space to slow down, enjoy good food, and build relationships across our church community. No sign-ups or prior involvement are required—just come as you are.
