MINISTRIES

Sunday Morning is Just the Start

At Orchard LA, we believe that attendance on Sunday mornings is just the start of what Christian community should look like. We have opportunities to get plugged into small groups, take classes, serve our Eagle Rock community, and make genuine connection with other people.

COMMUNITY GROUP

Get connected by joining a group

Orchard Community Groups are small, spiritually focused gatherings where people are known, loved, prayed for, and shaped by the Word of God in everyday life. They meet in homes throughout North East Los Angeles to share meals, study Scripture, practice prayer, and carry one another’s burdens in a meaningful, relational way. These groups are designed to move beyond surface-level connection into deep spiritual formation, helping members grow in love for God. In CGs, faith is not just discussed but practiced through hospitality, service, and shared rhythms of life. Over time, they become a spiritual family where discipleship happens organically and consistently.

ORCHARD KIDS

Bring the whole family

The vision of Orchard Church is to be a church where children feel like they belong. The mission of Orchard Kids, our children’s ministry is to help disciple our children to both know and love Jesus and to love his church. During our Sunday gatherings, the Orchard Kids Team works to welcome all children into our worship services by providing worship supports such as children’s bulletins and writing pads. The team also offers a staffed nursery for preschoolers and a livestream viewing room for infants and their caregivers. Outside of Sundays, the team plans for other ways for children to grow in their faith and to connect with their faith family.

HOSPITALITY MINISTRY

Setting the table for fellowship

Our Hospitality Ministry is a living expression of God’s welcome, turning ordinary meals and simple acts of care into sacred moments of grace. Through shared tables, warm greetings, and thoughtful preparation, we seek to create spaces where strangers become neighbors and neighbors become family. Hospitality at Orchard is not just about setting up a room or serving food, but about embodying Christ’s heart of love, generosity, and attentiveness. We believe that every cup of coffee, every shared meal, and every open door is an invitation to experience the kindness of God. In practicing hospitality, we don’t just serve people—we help them encounter the presence and goodness of Jesus.

ORCHARD MUSIC

Serving together through song

Orchard Music is the worship ministry of Orchard Church. Taking our inspiration from Colossians 3:16, we want the word of Christ to dwell within us through song. We bring praise, preaching, and audio visual ministry teams together each Sunday to lead our people in worship. Beyond Sundays, we host quarterly praise nights in peoples’ homes providing a chance for us to sing in an intimate living room setting.

EXTERNAL MERCY MINISTRY TEAM

Opportunities to serve our neighbors

External Mercy ministries is the generosity and community partnership branch of Orchard Church. We give financially to both Christian and non-Christian local, regional, and global organizations that are providing healing and hope to our broken world through their work. Financial giving is prioritized to provide immediate relief to God’s children most in need. Our long term goal in community work is to develop local and global partnerships with other churches and community organizations to further God’s Kingdom on earth here and now and in the hope of eternity. The decisions and efforts are overseen by the Mercy Team which currently consists of four members working in collaboration with the Pastoral Team.
